More Invitation Inspiration

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Morning! I hope you had a great weekend! Last week, per the typical lately, was crazy! So, sorry for the lack of posting… I cannot believe it’s already the second week of December! It just sneaks up on you! One minute you’re making Halloween costumes and next thing you know a one horse open sleigh is dashing across your living room before you’ve even finished your pumpkin pie. I need at least another month to finish all my shopping/crafting for Christmas presents!

Lately, instead of sugarplums, I’ve had visions of guest lists and invitations dancing through my head. And rightfully so, look at these!

Etsy seller unlesssomeonelikeyou created these wedding posters to be used in lieu of invitations! They’re 11 x 17 works of custom art! Just roll them up, stick them in a mailing tube and they’re off to your wedding guests. What an incredible keepsake these would be to commemorate your big day. I’ve seen this trend before, but most recently Jen from Green Wedding Shoes posted about them. Definitely go check out her blog if you have some time… she always has tons of eye candy!

Books with wooden memory.

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

It’s been a while since I’ve done an Etsy post and I had to show you these wooden books! Aren’t they so gorgeous? Lacuna hand makes each of these incredible books by gving new life to recycled furniture, mainly drawers and doors. They’re all hand carved and hand bound with recycled paper, making each book completely unique. Wouldn’t one make a beautiful guestbook? The fiance and I are actually considering ordering one with our logo carved into the front to use for that very purpose.

Lacuna also has a blog where you can see even more of her beautiful books!

Paper Chime Design

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

Just a quick post, I wanted to show you these earrings by Kat of paperchimedesign. They’re all hand crafted using a mix of new, vintage and handmade beads, baubles and paper! How stinkin’ awesome are those “Pick Me” earrings? A little Grey’s Anatomy inspiration there!

Kat is based here in Philly and you can find her earrings in her etsy shop, Conspiracy Showroom and occasionally at craft shows in the area. I personally own at least 3 pairs of her awesome designs and always get compliments when I wear them! Definitely go check her out! Tell her I sent you!

Inkspot Workshop

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Ok, I’m procrastinating on the Wedding Food Inspiration Board. It’s almost done, just not as perfect as I’d like yet. So, in the mean time I’m going to share another great Etsy find.

As I gather inspiration and hunt for bits and pieces of ’stuff’ for the wedding, I often find myself wandering through Etsy shops. However, yesterday, Etsy shop owner Stacy found me!

Stacy’s shop, Inkspot Workshop, has the cutest handcrafted stationary and paper goodies, from notecards and birth announcements to gift tags and stickers. Her Gift Tags would make really cool favor tags for pretty much any event… bridal shower, baby shower, birthday party, wedding… you get the idea. And the best part? They’re super affordable (60 tags, 2 different styles, for only $3.50)!

And because I’m obsessed with Giraffe’s I have to show you these adorable birth announcements! I say forget the baby… I want a set for my own personal stationary!

Love the pretty pink Giraffe!

Check out Stacy’s cute blog too!

2009 avie calendar

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

The Fiance and I may, or may not, send out Save The Dates. We haven’t decided yet. But if we do these jewel case calendars would be an awesome way to spread the news!

As you may have noticed already, I’m a huge etsy advocate (if I could think of something to sell, I definitely would open my own shop). So many incredible ideas, products and people! avie designs is no exception, their calendars are available in 12 different design options and many are available with matching stationary! What a fantastic way to coordinate your wedding stationary; send a calendar save the date before your wedding and a coordinating thank you card afterward!

Avis Wampler also has a website, a blog and has offered to sell you all of the same calendar pages, so you save money and still get to use their lovely designs! Thanks, Avis! Check them out!
