Life’s better on the other side…

Friday, October 16th, 2009

It has been so blissfully peaceful since the wedding. The Fianc… sorry, Husband (!!) and I took the week off following our wedding to honeymoon. We couldn’t fly anywhere, since we have a baby on the way, so we just relaxed at home. A little “staycation”! And it couldn’t have been more wonderful! Then, I looked at my calendar this morning and gasped… 2 weeks have already passed since our wedding! For two whole weeks I’ve been a married lady and this is the first you’re hearing about it! I’m sorry for being such a horrible blogger!

BUT! I have a few wedding photos to share! I’ll give you a sneak peak now and post some more later. And, I promised before I’d show you our DIY projects so I have them all lined up and waiting! Stay tuned!

Our photographer, Julio Loor of Loor Photography and his second shooter, Fernando were amazing to work with! I know I’ve posted about Julio before, but seriously these guys are so fun. The Husband and I really enjoyed our day with them!

4 months to go (just about)!!

Hiiiiiii! I’m back! Sorry for the slight delay in programming! I’m a busy girl, I have lots of wedding stuff to share with you! Our invitations have been cut out and are awaiting printing (I’ll show you them soon), the fabric for my birdcage veil came in yesterday, my dress fabric is ordered (although my dress design has changed… more about that soon! I promise!), and a whole plethora of other things have been accomplished!

But, I wanted to show you the latest and greatest of Loor Photography! Julio has been a busy man, it is Wedding Season afterall!
He just shot a beautiful wedding at Knowlton Mansion, which is a gorgeous venue right here in Philadelphia, and apparently had a great time doing it! (That’s him, dancing with the groom and groomsmen!)

He took some really cute engagement photos of this couple…

And even attended/photographed his own mothers wedding at the Fleischer Art Memorial (such an amazing building, not to mention beautiful bride)!

Check out his website for more of his gorgeous work and you can even join his  group on Facebook where you’ll often get a sneak peek of what he’s got going on! Can’t wait for him to photograph our wedding! 4 months Julio! I hope you’re ready!

Real Wedding - Photo Shoot

Friday, February 20th, 2009

Happy Friday!
I had to share this with you! Today, on Style me Pretty, Abby is featuring a Philadelphia wedding! Check out these photos that Marie Labbancz captured! WOW! The couples plans for an outdoor photo session were cancelled when it began to rain so, as a Plan B they were able to arrange for a photoshoot at the Eastern State Penitentiary! Just incredible! I just told the Fiance, I want this as a Plan A location for our day after wedding shoot!!

Check out Style me Pretty for the rest of the photos of this gorgeous wedding!

Kiss the Groom

Tuesday, February 17th, 2009

The Fiance and I actually managed to slip away for a long weekend over Valentine’s Day so I’m just now catching up on all the blog gossip that I missed. On Valentine’s Day, wedding photographer Elizabeth Messina (incredible, by the way), launched her new blog Kiss the Groom!

The blog is already filled with gorgeous photographs that make me want to get married all over again and I haven’t even tied the knot yet! Best of all, you can make your very own sweet little Kissing Tree.
