It has been so blissfully peaceful since the wedding. The Fianc… sorry, Husband (!!) and I took the week off following our wedding to honeymoon. We couldn’t fly anywhere, since we have a baby on the way, so we just relaxed at home. A little “staycation”! And it couldn’t have been more wonderful! Then, I looked at my calendar this morning and gasped… 2 weeks have already passed since our wedding! For two whole weeks I’ve been a married lady and this is the first you’re hearing about it! I’m sorry for being such a horrible blogger!

BUT! I have a few wedding photos to share! I’ll give you a sneak peak now and post some more later. And, I promised before I’d show you our DIY projects so I have them all lined up and waiting! Stay tuned!

Our photographer, Julio Loor of Loor Photography and his second shooter, Fernando were amazing to work with! I know I’ve posted about Julio before, but seriously these guys are so fun. The Husband and I really enjoyed our day with them!

Where have I been? Have you heard of 1000 Markets? I hadn’t! Not until this morning while I was making my usual blog rounds and stumbled across the super sweet image above on this lovely blog. Turns out, it’s a print made by 1000 Markets seller Whimsyloo.

1000 Markets is “a community of marketplaces,  large and small, connecting artisan merchants with the people who love their products.” Essentially, instead of being one of thousands of shops all listed in a big online mall, sellers have congregated into smaller Marketplaces making it easier to browse their products and find exactly what you’re looking for! They’ve just opened their shops and are hosting a Sneak Preview. I’ve only had a few mintues to browse, but definitely check out the FoodCrafters Marketplace, mmmm! And stop by the Modern Simplicity Marketplace , it will surely leave you inspired (and maybe a little lighter in the wallet)!

Thanks for your enthusiasm about having Julio Loor photograph our wedding! I took your advice and… we booked him! One more thing we can check off our list!

This past Saturday the Fiance and I attended the wedding of good friends of ours, Allison and Dan. Their venue was gorgeous, it was completely decorated for Christmas. There were scattered cranberries, tree ornament favors/place cards and a red and green candy bar! It was also snowing, a light fluffy snowfall, which made the party that much more festive!  

For weeks before hand, Allison talked about how excited she was to work with her photographer, Sarah Schulte, and judging from this sneak preview, it’s easy to see why.

Sarah was so stealthy! I didn’t even know she was around! But, obviously she was there, snapping gorgeous shots of this beautiful day! You can see even more on Sarah’s blog.

Happy Friday! I know I haven’t been around much this week (more on that later) but you’ll have to forgive me… I’m a busy bride to be!
